It works just like a check, except there's no check to write. Simply present your card to make a purchase anywhere VISA is accepted. There are no ID hassles or interest to pay.  Your purchase amount is automatically deducted from your credit union checking account.

You can also use it as an ATM card to transfer funds between accounts, verify account balances, and withdraw cash from more locations worldwide than an ordinary ATM card. It's accepted wherever you see the VISA symbol.
